My Evening with Jack and the Fiery Skies

What a day it’s been! Picture this: I’m out and about, ticking off tasks on my endless to-do list. The highlight? Giving River, our trusty van, a fresh set of wheels. Talk about a transformation!

But let’s fast forward to the real magic of the day. As the afternoon waned, I hopped onto Jack, my beloved Trek Fuel bike, and we set off for an adventure on the MoZ trail. Imagine riding through an enchanting world where each pedal brings you closer to nature’s marvels.

Just as I was looping back to town, the sky staged its daily spectacle. The sun, a mesmerizing orange fireball, began its descent near Lolo Peak. Its golden beams transformed the snow into a sparkling golden carpet, a sight so surreal, I had to pinch myself!

The snow, compacted by a week’s worth of hikers, now bore just my solitary tracks. It was as if nature had reserved this show just for me. The sun, like a giant glowing orb, bid its farewell, slipping behind Lolo Peak, leaving behind a canvas of darkening haze.

Night was creeping in, the valley’s lights dimming like stars at dawn. It was time to head back, racing against the fading light, carrying with me memories of a golden sunset that turned an ordinary ride into an extraordinary experience.
