Clearing The Ridge

This is part 18 in a series of blog posts that I am dedication to my favorite photos of 2009. Today’s inductee and now a resident in my “Cycling” photo album is “Clearing The Ridge“. I took this photo September 27th, 2009 at 1:29 PM with my Canon PowerShot SD1000 point and shooter.

Every year I seem to hook up with some willing individuals who want to do “Sheep Mountain”. It is truly a great, scenic, and sometimes serves up more adventure than you bargained for. I am pretty sure this one was no exception as one of the group fell and smashed up some ribs. Here Dave C. clears Wishard Ridge where we are all waiting, soaking in the sun, and enjoying the view.

Speaking of which I ran into Ed (ribs) S. out yesterday which was his first MTB outing of the year. We practiced put skills so that this years “Sheep Mountain” will be a little more “without incident”

Today I am going up route 12 and expecting to get wet up on the pass from all the snow melting off the mountains. See ya up yonder.
