Good Morning All … Yesterday was a rainy one so I spent most of the time at coffee houses and home on the computer. I did, however get out to East Rock during midday for a break in the rain to take some pictures. I am trying to post pictures of the day here so I hope it is showing up. Well today I am hiking and taking shots of the foliage again. Good luck everyone. Goodbye from Starbucks.

Felling The Pain, Going To Jail
I have done more with my online hockey league.
Yesterday we went to the casino. It was for Sean's last night out. He is getting married soon.
People around here act like they are going to jail when they get married. Weird place.
I have no money … well I do but I cannot access it. I destroyed my bank card and it will take them 20 days to get me a new one. I forgot how to write checks, in fact I remember heckling people in line that took the time to write a check. Now I am feeling their pain. I wont do it! I CANNOT DO IT!

Whew, That Was Close
Good morning from the wonderful offices of Sikorsky Aircraft. I came to work this morning to find out that I have lost my credit cards and drivers license. Not to worry though because someone on the second floor found it and I just went down to get it.
The weekend is upon me and I plan to get my teeth cleaned and go to the season opener for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers . Other than that maybe some laundry and to purchase a new copy of NHL2003.

Time and Karen upstate NY
Last weekend I went up to Plattsburgh NY to visit and spend time with some good friends of mine. I stayed at Tim and Karen’s place and I had a great time.Saturday I went hiking with Karen and Sierra. After the hike we checked out an art gallery (Bob Mitchell), very cool stuff. We checked out their camp and stopped in at the Oktoberfest event at Whiteface Mountain. We had some Braut and met a crazy girl in the cafeteria.
The next day we went hiking at Ampersand Mountain which turned out very cool as we found a cave and went spelunking. very scary but we crawled through and had a ball. Pictures are coming soon, I hope.
In the afternoon on Sunday we went to a cool shop in Saranac Lake NY and I bought a cool coaster and some really cool cards. The shop was very awesome and we spent an hour in time. I rounded out the evening with a dinner at Tim’s parents home. It was his birthday dinner I think. I had some very delicious pecan pie. I had a great time.
Thanks for having me up there, Tim and Karen.
I didn’t make it home Sunday night. I fell asleep in my car somewhere around Winsted CT. I woke up and went basically home, then to work. It has been a rough week. Cant get caught up. I got into another road bike wreck. A jerk pulled out in front of me and I took out his rear quarter panel.
Today I went Mountain Biking, got to stay off the roads you know.

Road Bike Accident
I was involved in an accident on my road bike last Tuesday. I have some elbow damage and I lost some skin. Actually a lot of skin. Every thing is fine now except for my elbow where I have to have synthetic skin to cover my elbow, which lost all of its skin and meat. I cant ride yet or do anything and I have all this fluid building up in my body. It hurts to run or bike because all this injury juggles and hurts so bad. I may have pictures so stay tuned.
Oh yea, how. I was refusing to gear down for a riser and I was cranking my bike real hard in the biggest gear. I was traveling about 25 – 28 MPH when my crank snapped and all I heard was a loud BANG. The a guy standing over me in the middle of the road. He was from Spain and was acquainted with cycling so he directed traffic and gathered my stuff up and took them and myself to my apartment. Well I better stop writing, good drugs make me chatty. There is my story and I am sticking to it.

Broken Crank and Lost Skin
Today I went on a road bike ride and broke my cranks. I have some major skin missing on my arm and gashes and skin also missing on my hip and legs. I hurt all over. I may be laid up tommorrow.

Friends Visited This Weekend
This weekend my friends Lucy and Paul came down for some fun. We went to the Whole Enchalida for supper and then went to the Playwright for some beers.
Lucy was tired and didnt want to dance so we meet up with Lulzim (Luly) and went out while she held down the apartment front. Marcy enjoyed her company I am sure. She even chatted with my mom while we were gone.
Meanwhile back at the Playwright we danced real hard and drank Kamakazies.
The next day we went running at Maltby lakes and went to breakfast at the Copper Kettle. After some strolling we headed up to the summitt of a local mountain for a birds eye view of New Haven.
Lucy did some hard core calling from the cell phone, setting up Nikos birthday party and family business. We went back into town for a trolley ride to the Thi Taste. Yum Yum! Major Yum Yum!
We then went to Starbucks for some frappichinoes before they headed home. It was great.
Last night I went out dacing again at the Playwright, Saturday nights are way better than Friday nights.
Today I rested and mountain biked. The day was beautiful.

I'll Be Out … Going to Mount Snow
Trading the daily grind for snow-capped peaks may sound like a no-brainer, but for me, this Mount Snow escape has a unique twist: leaving behind Bill’s Hockey League, my beloved online hockey haven. Can you picture it? Me, shredding pristine slopes while somewhere, in the digital ether, my virtual team battles it out?

Mount Snow beckons, but it’s not just about the powder and carving turns. It’s about finding a delicate balance between two passions: the exhilarating rush of outdoor adventure and the burning love for the sport that never leaves me. BHL is more than just a league; it’s a testament to my hockey devotion, a community where the ice never melts and the competition never sleeps, even when I’m chasing real snow.
So, with technology as my trusty assistant, I’m leaving BHL in good hands and hitting the slopes with the same fiery spirit I bring to the rink. It’s a delicious challenge, ensuring the league runs smoothly while I’m off-grid, but hey, life’s a little bland without a dash of adventure!
Here’s the exciting part: witnessing both worlds—the adrenaline rush of carving fresh tracks and the competitive spirit of BHL—coexist flawlessly. As I zip up my jacket and strap on my skis, I send virtual high-fives to my hockey comrades. Keep the league buzzing, folks! I’ll be back before you know it, mountain air swirling in my lungs and, maybe, a tale or two of keeping BHL alive while conquering Mount Snow. Cheers to the perfect blend of physical and digital thrills!

GO RIDING ….. DIRT IS CHEAP!
Anyway I am back and here is my recollection:
Monday — Today I left at 6 AM to hop on a plane to Phoenix Arizona. I left Marcy at the Snowflake kennel last night. I miss her already. (In Phoenix) I met a real interesting woman this morning and we talked before we boarded and when we got here to Phoenix we went to lunch together. We have a lot of things in common. I hope to run into her again someday. (In L.A.) Well here I am in Ontario, CA and I have to go get a rental car. It is all new to me. (In Barstow, CA) … wow, I am out in the middle of the Mojave Desert. It is pretty cool. Well not cool, I went down from my motel (Super 8) and it was so hot I almost didn’t make it back. Well … it wasn’t that bad, actually I enjoyed it. I am hoping to meet up with my contact. I had to leave a message for him. Can’t use the calling cards or Internet out here. Jesus, what am I going to do?
Tuesday — Went to Fort Irwin, wow very impressive. I like the ”Tank Crossing“ sign. Lol. Work went well, although there is some pretty mindless steps I cant remember. Mindless work … how exhausting. We all went out to a place called Carrows Restaurant. It was like a Denny’s. After that we went to a bar and did some darts and karaoke. Got drunk, sang out loud, and had a good time.
Wednesday — More mindless work. With a hang over! Getting real hot here in the desert. I love it. It is so cool here. Got into a little tiff with the guy in charge out at the training center. He pulled me to the side and asked me what my purpose was and what I was doing besides wasting his money. I was just about to tell him to fuck off when a co-worker saved me. After work we all went to Rositias, a real good Mexican restaurant. It was yum, yum!
Thursday — Yep, more mindless work. I really like working with this crew and I am having a blast. Although we could use some excitement! Tonight we went to Idle Spurs Restaurant. I had a huge steak and saut

Scared To Fly
Well, I am off to California. Sighning off! I seem to be remembering Sept. 11th a lot now. I think I am scared to fly now.
