I just dropped my friend Paul off at the airport and so ends our adventure. Once again I struggle with the passage of a landmark in my life. Life continues and I must trudge on to the mountain bike season which is the only thing that can compare to the deep fun of my time with my brother from NY.
Yesterday we climbed Ward Mountain which is a tiny bit over 9,000 feet high and giving us a glorious 5000 vert feet of climbing. As an added bonus I was given the opportunity to break trail the entire way. The summit team included myself at 3:47, Paul just 10 minutes behind, and topping off 10 minutes later was Josh. It was the most fun day of the entire vacation. Now … time to train for the up and coming season in the dirt!
