I just got off the phone with Aunt Wanda from Whitefish. They are going camping on lake Thompson and I am going to make a break for it to join them. Heck, why sit around Missoula. So after work Marcy and I are packing up the Beetle and heading out of town for some camping, biking, and photography.
The trip itself should be cool. I start out driving to plains via Route 200 and the beautiful Flathead River. The river through this part is so turquoise and neat. Once in Plains I hit dirt roads for around 60 miles of backcountry exploration. Lewis and Clarks heck … it Bill and Marcy!
The gravel road hits and heads up the Thompson River. If I can conquer the wilds with the beetle then the task is to find my aunt and uncle at one of the campgrounds in the area. Yahoo is off to the wilds. I hope everyone has a good holiday!
