  • Hike Night

We take Mondays and force ourselves outside for what we call hike night. To make it even more enticing we include a stop at the Bridge Pizza for Happy Hour. We do this mostly for winter. When the devil dust flies we need motivation. Motivation to get outside. To combat depression. I am thankful for our abundance of hiking trails here in missoula. There are others that dont have such things.

  • In From the Cold

Well … it is happening. Winter can no longer be a long distant relative. It is moving in and I must find a space to get away. A place to work on the bikes. But a warm place. A comfortable place. With a trip to Ace Hardware to purchase a space heater I have constructed a nest. Love the nest.
  • Goodbye Color

    Goodbye Color

It was good – so good, in fact, that I caught myself wishing it could stretch out forever. But I knew better. Things like that never last. Still, I soaked it in while I could, savoring every fleeting moment. Fall 2022, you were a masterpiece in amber and gold, and I appreciated every bit of you, maybe more because I knew you were just passing through. For a little while, you were everything. And honestly? You were the best.

  • Back in the Bitterroot

    Back in the Bitterroot

Just uploaded some great shots from our 2022 adventures! The highlight? Reuniting with Chad and Tracy – it felt like no time had passed, even though so much has. From epic trails to evenings that somehow turned into sing-alongs, it was the perfect mix of nostalgia and new memories. It’s always fun out there, but nothing quite like getting back home, unpacking (sort of), and looking forward to what’s next.

  • Blue Point Photo

    Blue Point Photo

Just went to Blue Point on my EMTB and got this awesome photo along with these in which I posted here. Well, not today. Today we are camping at Charles Waters campground. The last time I was here was with Mom and Dad camping.

  • Missoula Sunset Photos

And your general Missoula scenes. I just posted these over here.

I am frantically hitting up some bike spots because winter arrives this weekend. Yesterday was 2Esday and today I might just rinse and repeat. Maybe Sheep? Dunno.

  • Home

Home is where the heart is.

I love that iconic scene when you have been riding in Patte Canyon and are returning into town approaching the Mo-Z. Suddenly the town of Missoula breaks over the horizon nestled just below Lolo Peak and Blue Mountain. It’s the best. Isn’t it?

  • Seperate Ways

    After all these years.

I wonder how I will look back on this moment.

  • 1998 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships

    I was there.

The 1998 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships were held in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec, Canada from 14 to 20 September 1998. The disciplines included were cross-country and downhill. The event was the 9th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and the second to be held in Canada, following the 1992 World Championships in Bromont.

  • Last Gardiner Photos

I used to love riding my bike along the old tracks leading out to the Old Yellowstone Trail.
    I’ll miss you Electric Peak.
  • Ready

We were ready for the move.

And then we moved. And still moving in really. So many small things before you can feel normal again. Anyone have any reccomendations for a good dentist?

  • That’s a wrap

Turn the lights out when you leave. We are in Missoula.
  • Family

My sister, her better half, kids, and grandkids … whew, now that’s a family.
  • Georgie

    Looking Up Pine Creek

We will miss you Georgie. Your tranquil but steep. Long and sometimes harsh. But the sweetest singletrack one can imagine.

  • Davis Creek Downhill

    First you climb the hill.
    Smell the flowers.
    Turn around and …
