On a hillside far far away …
    There lived this hermit
Come to the party his friends told him
    Where is it he asked
Do you know where the Arch is?
    Of course I do
Well then, go there, its called Arch Park, and there we will party

Hauser to Losekamp to Stockdale to Top

    Today’s adventure is https://ridewithgps.com/trips/54073406
It all started off with a ride down some sweet alpine trail to Hauser Lake
From there we rode to LoseKamp Lake.
    Time for a snack.
After a snack we headed to Stockdale Lake.
The entire thing on sweet rough and raw singletrack.
Suddenly Mo approached me and told me that I just rode past a Moose.
Another snack break was in order after the long climb out of the Solar Lake drainage.
With some stops for flower photos.
I think I lost count of the Lakes.
The signage wasn’t too too bad.
Did I mention the views of Sawtooth?
We needed to get fresh water at Stockdale Lake with our trusty steripen.
Another great adventure date with Snuggles.
  • Bearthooth Morning

    Bearthooth Morning

I woke up first but found out that the sun was already up.
I made some coffee and sat in the sun.
Buttons started to wake up as well.
    The valley reflected my sentiments.
Wake up Snuggles, time for adventure.
  • Bearthooths Day 1

    Bearthooths Day 1

    Friday started with some breakfast.
Then we drove to Cooke City to get some yummy from Lee and then took it to the plateau for a diner with a view.
    Then a after-dinner ride.
The sun began to set so we went back to camp.
Where we settled in for the evening show.
    The show did not disappoint.
    Goodnight sun.
    Another perfect date night.

The only way in. It traps you. It might be worth it once you get there.

    For the youngsters

Mixing a bit of fun into the brew always turns out splendidly, but oh, the irony! Striving for greatness can often suck the fun right out of it. It’s like trying to dance like nobody’s watching, but you’re at a party where everyone’s got their phones out..

  • Photos and Videos

All our photos are tucked away in “Google Photos,” and yeah, this site’s built on WordPress. Now, you’d think it’d be a breeze to link the two, but nope! Of course not. So, if you want to scroll through snapshots from my awkward childhood years all the way to our latest escapades, click on a specific year or “Album” (as GP so kindly calls them) and you’re good to go.

  • Mo’s Walkabout

    Mo’s Walkabout

Some walks aren’t about the destination. They’re about the quiet spaces in between, the ones that beg you to pause, breathe, and notice the details we usually pass by.

This walk, like many before it, was more of a meander—a slow exploration through the familiar woods, now coated in winter’s soft embrace. Snow clung to the trees, like nature’s way of tucking them in for a long rest. The world felt still, but alive in that particular winter way. Every step crunched underfoot, a reminder that even in silence, there’s movement, there’s life.

It wasn’t about finding anything new, but rediscovering the beauty of what’s always been there. The weathered wood of an old fence, the way frost edges each branch, the familiar warmth of a favorite cup when you come back inside.

Sometimes, it’s the small moments that linger the longest.
