    After a short drive from home we cracked a couple and set up camp.
    Introducing Sneaky Snake.
    Sneaky Snake might just be a stick but he warmed up to his new family very quickly.
    We hit the sack early because the hike in was going to be a big climb all the while Sneaky Snake stood guard.

    So this is our new couch. It has a centerfold down that holds a soda and popcorn. So yeah, our front room is fashioned after a movie theater I guess. We like movies 🙂
    so I needed this Contraption to keep my chain while I had my wheel off on the bike… Super nice people here in Livingston.

    After a day long climb finally we are prepared to do stage one on the day.
    Nearing the halfway point of the second climb of the day.
    Wow … a yurt … cool.
    The second grueling climb.
    After two grueling climbs we head down stage two on the day.
    After the second stage we get a lift
    Well … it is over. Done. Why don’t I feel satisfied? Why am I so slow?

    By now I have been beaten into the ground by my own lack of skill and a demanding course … to come … a crash by the hands of a root.

    Just a little pushing necessary.
    Okay, well, we didn’t make it to George Lake. But it was a good ride and the view from the parking lot was fantastic 🙂

    Meanwhile back at The Chittenden House Mr Bear keeps an eye on the new calves situation.

    On top of stage 1 where after a crash we waited a couple hours to get re-started. I then proceeded to hit a tree, spit up some sort of orange fluid, and continue. Put me in the game coach!
    On top of stage 3. On stage 1 I hit a tree and this is where I finally came to my senses and started to have some sort of a sense about me.
    The results were 50/50 given I hit a tree. That last stage was killer and I should ride like that all the time.
    Doesn’t even know there was a race.
    After the race it was time to relax and reflect.
