  • Inside Job

Rise and grind, New Haven! Just woke up and channeled some serious morning energy into finishing my mountain bike page on the William Martin Racing site. Feeling good about that!

Next on the agenda: website beautification mission! Mom and Dad’s page is first in line for a refresh. Haven’t seen them online in a while, so I’ll be giving them a call today to check in and make sure everything’s alright. Hoping to hear some good news!

After that, it’s off to the coffee shop for a caffeine refuel before diving into my next update on the bike journal. Stay tuned for more cycling adventures and musings coming your way! ‍

P.S. Any recommendations for the coffee shop? Feeling adventurous and open to trying something new

  • My Blog Today

I just stayed up tonight working on finishing up my mounatain bike site. Ok, well my roomates poker night has kept me up with a bunch of noise. Well, it is almost done with only the 24 hour page to do. Check it out.

  • Dieting

The weekend is finally here. The theme today is to starve all day so I can get to my goal of 177 lbs by tomorrow. Monday I want to be down to 176, how am I going to do that with a week off from racing. I want to go and spend some time downtown. New Haven is so much fun.

  • Sea Otter Classic on OLN

Not much here. Its cold outside and it is hard to get motivated. I just got done watching the Sea Otter Classic on OLN. Very disappointing because it was all road cycling. Visit my mountain bike page for more info on what I have been up to.

  • Sim City Comming

    Sim City Comming

Nothing new. Trying to get caught up as usual. Did you know Sim City 4000 is coming out soon?

  • Better at Pool

Just got back from playing pool with some of my work mates. I won two games and dropped three. I have updated my racing site. Check out the new pictures from the first race of the season and also the Wrath from this past weekend.

  • My Blog Today

I am back online and my mountain bike site has been updated (at least this season)! Check it out!

  • I Have Broadband

I am finally online. I got a cable modem and now I am hooked up. For those of you who chat with me it will look like i am continously online. well … partly true. My computer will always be on but I may not be in. My next project is to get that mountain bike section finally done and upgraded.

  • Ghost

I still am not online so I cant blog, so maybe next week.

  • Barely Online

I am on for a second using my roommates phone line. I am good, just don’t have internet access. I have kept my mountain bike page updated. Go to the schedule/results section to see my results.

  • Great Life, Work Sucks

Life’s great, work’s not. Been absent due to work stress. Can’t meet their expectations, refused overtime. Not going well.

  • Sun Burn Over Sun Burn

Im at work, last night got a sunburn over my sunburn. I went road cycling for about two hours.

  • Weekend Report

This weekend? Pure sunshine and two-wheeled therapy! Soaked up some rays (and maybe a touch too much, judging by the lobster hue I’m currently sporting), shredded some epic trails, and even managed to snag a sunburn as a souvenir. #worthit

Sunday was all about cheering on the heroes of Paris-Roubaix – those cobbles are no joke! Watching them battle it out had me itching to get back on the saddle (although maybe with slightly smoother terrain, let’s be real).

Family and friends got their due time with some phone calls, catching up and sharing weekend adventures. And let’s not forget the obligatory pilgrimage to the local Starbucks. Because sometimes, a venti iced latte is the only cure for a post-bike-ride sweat fest.

Overall, a fantastic weekend that left me feeling recharged, sun-kissed (okay, maybe a little singed), and ready to tackle the week ahead. Now, excuse me while I slather on some aloe vera and dream of smoother roads (and maybe a trip to France next year…). ‍

  • I am Behind, But Its Friday

I am Behind, But Its Friday

It is Friday. I went on a ride yesterday to Roxbury CT. Check out my mountain bike pages. I am behind on everything and it is such a struggle to get caught up. Damn I hate moving. I still have no Internet service.

I’m pumped to share the latest trails, gear, and adventures with you all. Here’s to overcoming tech hurdles and hoping for an easier internet setup in the near future!

  • This Too Will Pass

    This Too Will Pass

Still riding the funky train over here, but there’s this little mantra I’ve got on loop in my brain: This too shall pass. Kinda like my attempts at sourdough during lockdown – a phase, albeit a questionable one. So, eyes on the prize, I’ve got to keep chugging along, ticking off those tasks, and crossing that finish line.

  • Anger Management

    Anger Management

Today will drag on forever. I’m in perfect mental health. I’m ecstatic about my roommate keeping me awake all night, and I’m thrilled about another matter, which is so impersonal it’s not worth mentioning. Despite the lack of challenges, I’m struggling to remain negative and doubt I’ll learn anything of value today.

  • A Sequel to Slap Shot?

    A Sequel to Slap Shot?

Ah, the rare unicorn that is a day off. You see, it’s that special day when you look your cycling shorts in the eye and declare, “Not today, my stretchy foes, for I am off on a grand adventure!” And by adventure, I mean a cinematic voyage with “Slap Shot II” steering the ship and a bag of black corn chips dunked in roasted red pepper hummus as my trusty sidekicks. Picture this: me, becoming one with the sofa, embarking on an epic quest where the most demanding task is the heroic reach for another chip.

Now, I’m not implying that my bike seat was maliciously swapped for the couch in a daring overnight operation. However, let’s just say I didn’t send out a search party for it either. There’s this almost rebellious joy in telling your legs, “We’re off duty today, folks,” while your taste buds are out here living their best life. And sure, “Slap Shot II” might not be snagging any Oscars, but as the backdrop for an evening dedicated to the fine art of lounging? It’s cinematic gold. Who needs the agony of hill sprints when you’ve got the glory of slapstick comedy, am I right?
