July was a month of pedal-powered adventures and unexpected turns, setting off with the Butte 50 mountain bike race.

Picture this: scorching temperatures, rugged trails, and me, pushing the limits on my trusty mountain bike. The race was a true test of endurance, and let’s just say it was a close call between conquering the trail and the trail conquering me.

The thrills didn’t stop there. We took a trip to Switzer Mountain Bike Park, where the landscape was a lush playground of ferns and trails.

It was a refreshing change from the intense race, allowing for some leisurely exploration.

Moki, my mountain bike, and DW, my e-mtb, got their fair share of action.

These two wheeled companions were more than just bikes; they were my partners in crime as we traversed the varied terrain.

Mo, my fellow adventurer, had a different kind of quest – foraging for mushrooms in the forest’s hidden corners.

Amidst these escapades, winter was the last thing on my mind. Yet, I found myself sifting through photos, reminiscing about colder days.

Our outdoor exploits also led us to Lake Como.

Where we combined hunting with some serene bike rides.

One can not beat around the lake’s picturesque scenery.

Truley a fantastic time where I started to appreciate biking again.

Frequent visits to Imagination Brewery became a staple of our July routine.
It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of riding and exploring.

In a twist, I decided to switch gears – literally. I welcomed Wednesday, my new downhill bike, into the fold. This addition signaled a shift from pedaling to a more gravity-fueled biking experience.

It was an exciting change, promising new adventures and challenges.

Our exploration wasn’t limited to established trails. The surrounding forests of Missoula called to us, and we answered, venturing into the wilds, discovering new paths and secret spots only known to those who dare to venture off the beaten track.
So yes, I did a lot of mountain biking. But it was more than just biking; it was a series of adventures, each unique and memorable in its own right.
