Reflections on the Start of a Transformative Year

Wow, the way this year kicked off took me by surprise. I’ve never experienced such an intense mix of gains and losses in such a short span. Some have suggested that my move to Sikorsky put my own interests ahead of friendships, but the truth is, it’s been a blessing in disguise. It helped me separate the real friends from the ones who weren’t.

Now, it’s time for some soul-searching, prayer, and meditation. It might sound unusual, but it’s essential to connect with our humanity and emotions. Meanwhile, I can’t help but feel like a sad puppy.

Yesterday, I took a stroll around town, intentionally avoiding the empty house, and it was surprisingly enjoyable. It’s funny how routines can consume us, making us forget other dimensions of life.

Tomorrow marks the start of school at RPI, and today, I need to prepare. It’s a new chapter, and I’m ready to embrace it.
