Late nights have become a bit of a habit lately, but last night wasn’t too bad. I unwound with a movie – ‘Glass House,’ a decent thriller that kept me engaged. But the real highlight of yesterday? I got accepted into Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)! It’s a big deal, yet I’m here, pondering if I’m ready to hit the books again.
It’s funny how life throws these curveballs. One moment you think you have it all figured out, and the next, you’re standing at a crossroad, unsure which path to take. That’s where I am right now, questioning what direction my life should take. Time, as always, will be the ultimate guide.
Amidst these life-changing decisions, I can’t help but feel a bit isolated. It’s as if my friends and I have drifted into different worlds. Haven’t heard from any of them in a while. It makes you think about society and the connections we hold dear.
On a more somber note, my mom’s health has been on my mind. Last night’s conversation was filled with coughs, a stark reminder of her battle with pneumonia. It’s weighing heavily on me, the possibility of driving down to take her to a proper doctor. Family concerns, they never really leave your side, do they?
Oh, and a little side quest for today – figuring out the cost of a lost Blockbuster DVD. Turns out, I’ve misplaced a gangster movie somewhere between here and Lambert. Off to another day at work, with these thoughts accompanying me.
