The Zepher is so named because my friend Zephanie and I discovered this little gem one weekend as we were scouting out the Deer Creek Drainage.
From the Sam Braxton parking lot one could climb up to the upper part of the logging road that starts from the bend in the Deer Creek Road. Before the saddle there is a logging road to the left. This route takes you by some trickling streams and a small waterfall in the springtime.
Once the climb through ever changing terrain is over you descend around a ridge where the trail gets technical and very tight. I cut my arm last night :) The trail goes by a stream and dumps out on the poser line trail.
Once back down to the bend in the Deer Creek Road you can take the road back to the parking lot (as in the map) or turn left and climb back up to the upper part of Sam Braxton.
