Q: So.. do you want pics at each aid station? Or.. each check point?
A: If you have a GPS track that would do. I can grab times off of that. If not a photo will do. I would really reccomend sending a social media post w/ photo of the checkpoint. It will serve as an update for everyone and I can get resuls and times off those timestamps.
Q: How does support work?
A: Basically we will load a vehicle with everything needed for support and then it will be (or placed at) each aid stop given my pace. I will be making a phone list with one person's phone being the dispatcher/information officer/ride director for all things to be coordinated. Once we start he can be contacted to coordinate any activity (ie kegger in some parking lot)
Q: Where I can honestly hide my stuff so someone does not steal it?
A: That is why I am accepting volunteers for my stops, otherwise I would be stashing. There will be a dispatcher and some people out there helping so I am sure someone would help you out if they can. The night is going to be hard, be prepared to spend the night in the woods.
Q: Are you actually thinking you will have PEOPLE at the aid stations?
A: I posted aid station locations on the map and it is up to each participant in handling there own aid. I am accepting volunteers for my aid stops. The map shows the best places for aid.
Q: Are you going to spray paint any turnoff arrows on the roads? Like onto the single track from the road off beyond the old hayes creek rd?
A: I am not going to make marks or flag any part of the course. Remember this is not organized by no body! This is a self supported suggestion! Lets not tick off the forest service.
Q: There are three sections on your loop that I have never done, where do you turn off the .... ?
A: Check the current RMVQ year page where you will find a .gpx file as well as maps.
Q: Why is there no better maps or GPS files?
A: See question above. We do have great .gpx maps now.
Q: No other maps?
A: This has been solved.
Q: When you are on top of Blue Mountain at the lookout, is it clear where to go to do that next section? grave creek range?
A: I could say YES, BUT! I have been riding with people that get lost easily so I reluctantly can not say for sure! Use the latest .gpx file to navigate.
