Paul's Bike Project

Leader Bike LD 516H is the frame I choose.  I raced my LD 526H to the MORS series championship and the 2007 Butte 100 win. I raced my LD 416R to a third place men's A state championship finish.  So when my friend gave me the go-ahead to build a bike for him I chose this bike for it's economical price and proven durability and performance.

"The 516H bears even more greatness with Leader's proprietary UAL aerospace wonder aluminum. No other MTB hardtail is so innovative in the way it handles the trail with its nearly independent hind legs ready to jump or sprint the ups and downs you feed it. This is the epitome of lightening the load while staying loaded."

I like the Leader frames, as

I like the Leader frames, as do many of the people who are now riding them. However, I would be very hesitant to switch all of my bikes to the Candy pedal. The bearings fail frequently and are not serviceable. For someone who is in the saddle as much as yourself, this would be unacceptable I believe. If you want something reliable and durable I would go with the Time Atacs. http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/Pedal/product_22476.shtml Great pedal that gets great reviews from real cyclists.

That is good to know about

That is good to know about the Crank Brothers pedals.  I think these will be fine because they are not for me but for a friend.  I am building this bike for a friend and he rides (or will ride) about a half dozen hours a week at the most.  If I knew though i would of set him up with SPDs (cheaper).  You know this is the second time I have heard about how well the Time Atacs work.  Hmmm, if I coul get a deal on 3 pair ... I would have to convert from SPD.  All my bikes have them!

Time Atac Aliums are about

Time Atac Aliums are about 45-50$ at pricepoint and cambria.
