In front of me as I peer off toward Lolo Peak is a valley full of golden sun shine while I sit here under a tree braving a cloud, wind, and slightly chilly afternoon. Marcy and I just spent the last half hour hiking up to my favorite secluded spot in Missoula.
Out West there looks to be a snow storm over the Nine Mile Valley. The snow is sparse up here and the trail up was nearly dry and just a pleasurable peak into what it is like hiking in the summer. If it were not for the frigged wind and these pesky shooting pains running down my leg I could be in heaven. Instead I am enjoying a great evening stroll with my dog.
My thumbs are freezing up so I had better get back down the trail to headed seats.
