The on-line meeting lat night was attended by my Mom, my Sister, and myself although I only got to chat about 5 minutes. All things were good to go but my laptop doesn't have all the programs installed yet so I figured what the heck, I could continue to set up my laptop and chat at the same time. Well then I was prompted to reboot and somehow the clock was set to 2004 which did something to an install. Rebooting caused a failure ... then a crash.
After numerous un-installs and 3 reboots I was able to get back on-line to apologise. Then another stupid idea came over me. Why not check for updates while I was on-line. This not only slowed down my chatting almost to non-existance but also found updates which were 45MB. So not only did I not get to chat but after was not able to talk to my dad on the phone (weekly tradition).
This morning all is updated but not nearly everything is installed. While I did not have the computer I realized life was much better without technology. Now life goes on and I have to tell you ... it sucks. While I did get to go bike riding last night and plan to hike tonight all is not lost however.
