Dads Cancer Treatment
UpdatesMon. 10:20 Surgery at Hospital to insert port. Afternoon goes home.
UPDATE 1/19/2004: "Dads surgery went fine. Port is in. Tomorrow he sees the doctor. Doc say everything looks good. Dad is feeling "chipper" and has been playing computer games for the rest of the day. " ~mom
UPDATE 1/20/2004: "Tues. 11:30 Dr. Meyers check dad and new port out. Visit went ok. Start tomorrow. They install a little box that dispenses Eloxifin (some drug). They have lots of literature to read. He will lose his hair. So far so good. So far his blood count is excellent." ~mom
UPDATE 1/21/2004: "Day one was very good and he told me he feels great. The "stuff" is pumping into him this week and he feels good so far with the exception that he cant drink cold liquids ... they make him tingle. " ~mom
