I took a half day off so that I could travel to Missoula. I needed to do the trip in the daylight due to the big storm. Missoula had received a reported 18 inches of snow in 48 hours and Turah Montana 24. I was totally freaked that I would not be able to make the journey in my car which does not have the best winter tire setup. So there I was speeding along I90 trying to get as far as I could until I would hit the reported storm of the century.
What I found were roads in great condition. As the journey started I even felt my skin tingling from the sunshine coming through the cars window. It was actually hot as I rolled past Whitehall. I called mom and dad to pass the time all the way to Drummond. From there the roads were wet but ok to keep my blistering pace. I arrived in Missoula mid day which worked out because I really missed the person I was traveling to see. You never know until you travel there … right?
