This morning I am writing from a shady area under a large Ponderosa pine at the Grand Menard Discovery Trail. It is up Nine Mile Road next to the famous nine mile ranger station.
Today is chore day but I had to get out with Marcy for a morning refresher walk. It is so beautiful out today.
Yesterday I went on a very good ride. I climbed Miller Peak entirely on my mountain bike. The climb up the main part took a hour and a half. The peak is over 7000 feet and that is the highest I have ever mountain biked. It was awesome. The ride down was even more breathtaking. The entire climb was exposed and the conditions of the trail was excellent although is was a jeep trail.
Tomorrow I hope to ride the famous Dead mans ridge off of Blue Mountain or maybe Ill save that for Wednesday and do the Mount Sentinel ride. I am challenged by a friend who says that the top is nearly if not impossible. I want to try.
