Colorscape

Photo entitled "Colorscape" This is part 6 in a series of blog posts that I am dedication to my favorite photos of 2009. Today's inductee and now a resident in my "Transportation" photo album is "Colorscape". I took this photo April 18th, 2009 at 1:34 PM in Lewiston Idaho. Colorscape is what I labeled it and I think the reason is obvious.

I was attending the Devils Slide Mountain Bike Race which will be my first race in 2010 was my first race back 4 years ago. I rode 6 hours on this day, the day before the race because it was a planned long ride in my training plan. I always go to Lewiston Idaho with my friend Ross and family and it has turned out to be something of a yearly pilgrimage. Its the first race, its always sunny and nice, and this is the first race I ever did "coming back" to racing.

Well today has also turned out to be a spectacular as in the photo. The sun is out and the temps are supposed to soar into the 50s. I am headed out to the Bitterroot for a 5 hour exploratory road/cross/dirt bike ride. Anyone is welcome, just be at my place at 11.

The weather has been fantastic this year and we're beginning to see temps in the hi 50's and low 60's in the Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA valley near Hells Canyon. Beautiful riding weather and everywhere you look, color is breaking through!
