The Best Friends

Hello from sunny, warm, and finally a summer filled day in Missoula Montana. I have not blogged since before the 24 Hours of Rapelje. So here is the catch up blog.

24 hours of Rapelje : Did not happen as planned. I had my Carbo Rocket dispenser Bob Waggoner (Triple Ring Productions) ready to rumble. All my Muleterro Teammates were there. I was just settling in when they pulled the plug because of the weather.

It totally sucked that I had to quit and for most of the week I have been really depressed. Just when the course was getting good (started with a slight impression on the plains and ended up great single-track loop). We even had a Live Race Feed! Bummer! Check out Rich’s blog for another perspective.

Thursday Night Ride : Last night we went to the Sam Braxton Trails to do a short  loop before a party that was put on by the group as a “send off” party for my trip to Canmore next month. I was able to vent and recover my sanity from last weekends let-down. Good fun ride in the good warm sun and good friends.

24 Solo Worlds Party : There was plenty good food and awesome people. I was presented with a Monte Dolack card where everyone signed it. I am the sum of all these people and really appreciate my Missoula family. I hope I can make them all proud. I also received some gifts that will make my trip to Canmore more enjoyable. I wish I could take everyone with me.
