When I finally called Nashbar I knew what the answer would be. "We have no record of an order", someone said on the other end. This is the second time Nashbar has lost my order. I headed to do the bike shop tour, which i didnt mind. I like touring the shops. Big Sky had a $200.00 XT Wheel and i thought that I would have to come back for that. Now way, I finally rationalized. I would peice together my old one and a friends old one. I stopped by Sportsmans surplus ... no wheels.
After the Bicycle Hanger I was feeling like I would be indeed building the new one. Next stop, Open Road. There I hit pay dirt. They had a old Rolof hub laced to a new rolof rim. Its a sweet wheel ... I figured the guy would say $300.00 or something. We chatted. " ahhh ... humm", he paused. I t seemed that he wanted to get rid of it and didnt want to over proce it. "Seventy dollars." Holy shit I fell over in amazement.
