Hello from Missoula Montana where I have been taking two naps a day trying to rest up from last weekends free for all on destroying my body.
I got some videos up for all to enjoy and I guess my channel is being added to some pretty keep cyclocross folks over in Belgium ... way cool.
The race started out pretty well for me because I call the call up from Shaun Radley. But when the gun went off I lofted into the first couple turns and froze. Everyone was criss crossing and for the first time I wished we had our own class (people that can hold a line). I was amazed there was no crash.
After the base ball infield there was a low mound and that is where the first crash occurred. Suddenly a bike was flying through the air and I ducked under it as it hit my helmet.
Then later on someone went down in the dirt and I ran over his wheel.
In the end I came up 9th which is a little disappointing. As I started my surge stuff was breaking. I took a corner into a rock and lost some air in my rear tire. This kept me from cornering too hard. Then my buckle came ripped loose on my shoe. I had to nurse it in and accept 9th.
