I hope I am wrong! Last summer I signed up to race my mountain bike at the Bitterroot Resort. The race was part of the MORS series and I was not asked to sign any support documentation. I feel that I was there for the MORS series and nothing more. Well it seems that now I am on a list somewhere that supports the resort.
"You have expressed your support for Bitterroot Resort." ~from an email I received today!
My question is, how did it get there? Did I have a choice? I mean if I did not sign the waiver to race I would of not been able to race and forfeited that race in the series. Am I right on this? Legally, is there anything I can do to get back my ability to choose for myself? i am pissed!
Again, I hope I am wrong and that in a drunken stupor I signed a partition somewhere supporting the resort. If that is the case it is my mistake. I suspect that Bitterroot Resort has manipulated my intention to race and compete into a support ticket. Shame on you and how can I support a place that is untruthful.
I do not support Bitterroot Resort! There are plenty places to ride that are twice as fun! Here is the response I set out to the Bitterroot Resort Administration <admin@bitterrootresort.us>:
I do not mind being informed about local developments and opportunities. I am a little concerned that you mention that I have expressed my support for Bitterroot Resort. I don't remember signing anything but a form to race at the resort last summer. I am hoping that my intentions to race in the MORS series race were not manipulated into a support gesture.
Support for your endeavors are MY choice!
