Deer Every Where

Tonight's hike was the ridge line up to Mount Sentinel. The return trip was through Midtown Gulch, which is what I have named the trail that comes down between the two Mount Sentinels. The way up was sunny and nice but the wind quickly started to make it self-known and I think I have possibly even frost bite my shoulder. The mountains in the Rattlesnake Wilderness were white with snow after the big snow and the even sun made them look so pristine white and in contrast to the slate blue darkening skies. The low lands were golden and as the sun set the sky lit up in a pinkish red. The whole event was absolutely stunning and reinforcing why I want to live her. Coming down Marcy and I ran into at least four deer herds. They looked curious as Marcy and I played and ran to race each other. On the way, home in the car we saw a deer walking through town just a couple blocks a3way from mine. I looked and as astonished that it was a big four-year-old buck. Now that is hiding out from the hunters.
