Tonight the colors in the sky were awesome. Marcy and I ran up the
Kim Williams Trail to the
Hellgate Canyon Trail . As we topped out over
Mount Sentinel, the snow started to fall. I knew something was up when we gained the summit and did not see city lights.
Tonight I was surprise to not only run up the climb, but also that I wanted to run up the climb. I am not saying it was easy, but it was fun and not very hard. Am I still in shape or the two-day lay around just coming through? The expenditure of calories will bite me in the butt as when I came home I ate two days worth of rations.
While running I had an online book idea. I would like to make an application that allows numerous people to contribute to a story. Like a blog but only a story. For instance, I would log on and say, ”I knew there was something in her eyes“. Then the next person to log on would continue the story. I will have to make an application for it though so that the story must be checked out, keeping the script from being written to at the same time causing conflicts.
As I approached the summit, an orange glow was off to the west over
Lolo Peak. It was the sun trying to make its goodbye known. As I said before a wall of snow replaced the Missoula City lights. Once at a lower elevation the lights came into view. I thought to myself that I would not need a Christmas tree with such a beautiful set of Christmas lights below.
The going was slippery coming down. We ran in to the usual deer and as I approached the city, I noticed thee city parking lots and roads were turning white. As I said to my new neighbors as I arrived home, ”I wonder how much snow we will get. I hope enough for recreation.“
